Ten Months in the Bay!

10/30/2018

Wow! It’s hard to believe, but its been ten months now as a band. We have had an incredible welcome to the Bay Area and couldn’t be more thrilled to be making music here. From the time of our humble arrival here in January as full-time buskers, we were intent on playing as much as we could wherever we could. So far the response from the community has been incredible: from quaint farmers markets to the crowds of tourists in Union Square, we made our mark on the community and some kind folks even invited us to play indoors! A host of venues in the North Bay have opened their stages to us and you can find us at recurring shows in Fairfax, Petaluma and Healdsburg. We have played everywhere from a Berkeley Bird Shop to the Berkeley Bluegrass Festival at Freight & Salvage, and a chance encounter saw us opening up for national acts Laurie Lewis and Ricky Skaggs at the Green Music Center Bluegrass Festival this last July. Even more recently, we have developed monthly residencies at Amnesia in San Francisco and East Bay Coffee Co. in Pinole. To cap it off we also recently released our first EP of all original music!

It’s been a treat to bring bluegrass and traditional music to you fine folks and you can rest assured that you will only be seeing a lot more of us next year as we look to break into the festival scene here in CA and beyond. Although we are playing with a bit less frequency this winter, you can be sure we are working on a smorgasbord of new songs to share with you in 2019. Stay tuned and may the road stay foggy!

Our First EP!

On October 29, 2018 we released our first EP of original music. Over the course of our short nine months together we have written a handful of tunes that really stood out to us. Though we have plans to release a full album next year, we just weren’t satisfied with the idea of making anyone wait to hear our original music. Recorded in our home studio and mixed & mastered by our multi-talented guitarist/singer Tommy, this is a completely homespun record that features original music from all members of the group. We wanted to write an album that felt at home in the past and the present, drawing on the traditional forms that inspired us to take up music and bringing them home into the context of the present. We hope you enjoy! Listen HERE!
